Thank you for deciding that you would like to dedicate some of your time to Region 2. We really do appreciate it. The next step is to complete the paperwork and necessary training. Here's what's needed... Enjoy!
- Complete a Volunteer Application
- The fastest way to do this is to click the Sign Up button above and follow the prompts.
- For a slower (but more granular method) do this:
- Login at ayso2.org (you will need to create an account if this is your first time)
- Click on Volunteer on the left (on a mobile device you may have to swipe out from the left to reveal this option).
- Click the Find Volunteer Roles button.
- Select the Program you wish to volunteer for (Ex. '2023 Fall Core Season')
- If asked, select the Division you wish to volunteer for (Ex. 10U - Girls)
- Scroll to the bottom and click 'View Selected Opportunities'
- Select the role you wish to volunteer for. (Ex. Head Coach). Click your name then click Continue.
- Complete the form and provide all the requested information.
- Complete a background check
- After you have completed the steps above, you may be asked via a popup (and via email) to complete a Background Verification Check.
- Follow all the steps as instructed.
- Note that, at first glance, it may look like you are expected to pay a fee.
- THERE IS NO COST TO YOU, REGION 2 WILL PAY FOR YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK
- Toward the final step of the background check process you may be prompted to "help your region" and donate the fee associated with the background check.
- DO NOT DONATE THE FEE. We do not expect any of our volunteers to be out-of-pocket.
- As a volunteer for Region 2, the least we can do is pay for your background check.
- Upload a selfie to use as your profile picture.
- This is important. The picture will be used for your Volunteer ID Card. So make sure you're looking sharp on it!
You are now ready to start completing your training. The requirements differ depending on the role you are volunteering for. At a minimum, we require Safe Haven, Concussion Awareness, Sudden Cardiac Arrest training and SafeSport. Beyond that, we have specific training for certain roles.
A fully qualified volunteer will have met the following requirements before they can be authorized to work with our players...
- Completed a Volunteer Application (this is an annual requirement).
- Satisfactorily completed a background check.
- Submitted fingerprints via LiveScan (we will reach out to you about dates when we host these events)
- Completed all mandatory training.
