Starting January 1st, 2022, all volunteers in California must have a one-time background check as approved by the California Department of Justice. This is an additional requirement along with AYSO's background check.

Region 2 recommends completing Livescan at our partner vendor in Sierra Madre. AYSO also regularly hosts Livescan events.

You will need to fill out and bring your Region 2 Livescan form to your appointment:

***IMPORTANT*** DO NOT UPLOAD ANY FORMS TO YOUR AYSO ACCOUNT
Results take a few weeks to process and will automatically update to your account. DO NOT UPLOAD ANY FILES TO YOUR ACCOUNT. Doing so will prevent your Livescan results from processing.
- Region 2 covers the cost of Livescan. If you use DBW Mail Box & Postal or attend an AYSO LIvescan event you will not need to worry about billing or reimbursement.
- Livescan for AYSO only need to be taken once.
- Youth volunteers (under 18 years old) are not required to take Livescan.
- A separate Livescan is required for each organization you volunteer for. If you have taken Livescan with another organization you will still need to complete one for AYSO.
The Livescan vendor will issue you an Automated Transaction Identifier (ATI). Save this identifier. You may use the ATI to check the status of your Livescan: https://applicantstatus.doj.ca.gov/
If your Livescan status indicates that it has been processed but it is not reflected on your Volunteer page, please contact Region 2's CVPA ([email protected]) and notify them of the issue.
